National Trust, Attingham Park, get Creative with the Graco FieldLazer S90 MKII Line Marking Machine
Attingham Park, a National Trust site with over 460,000 visitors a year, invested in a Graco FieldLazer S90 MKII to create an exciting new play concept in their popular playfield.
Attingham's Field of Play, also known as the Shoulder of Mutton, has experienced thousands of years of 'mark making', creating patterns on its surface, whether from the ancient ridge and furrow, the ploughed lines of modern agriculture or the white lines of a rounders pitch.
Inspired by the infinite interconnecting circles of the guilloche pattern, found inside the Mansion at Attingham Park on stone work, gilding, plaster and textiles, over 30 linked circles were marked out across the entire field using the Graco FieldLazer S90 and MAX-LINE Platinum marking paint. This created a series of circular spaces for activities to take place, and for families to play within, or 'without' as they explore the space.
"The Graco FieldLazer S90 MKII is easy to set up and use, with teams of staff and volunteers easily trained to mark the lines. The paint itself is perfect for this job as it dries quickly and is safe for families and children to play upon. The machine can be easily adjusted to provide wider or narrower lines, meaning you can get the right sort of coverage depending on the job. We're really pleased with both the machine itself and the service and support we received from ALS."
