ALS are pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Somerville MSc as Regional Technical Manager for North Wales and Cheshire. Ian has 35 years' experience in Golf Course Management including extensive course renovation and reconstruction. He spent over 10 years at the Prestigious Royal Liverpool Golf Links, Hoylake, most recently working as a Lecturer in Sportsturf and Agronomy at Myerscough, associate college of the University of Central Lancashire (UClan). Ian holds City & Guilds in Sports Turf Management an MSc in Sports Surface Technology and is also an experienced trainer and assessor.
In addition to delivering product information and advice in a sales capacity Ian's strong background in sports turf agronomy means that he can advise his customers on all aspects of their grounds management.

We are very excited that Ian has joined us, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience to add to the experienced and dedicated team here at ALS. Ian took up the position in late August and has already been out and about meeting customers in and around Cheshire and the North West.
