Contains: 240g/l of Picloram.

Weed Species and Application Rate Litres per Hectare:
|
Time of Application:
Throughout the spring period with the following water volumes:
Knapsack sprayer with boom at 450 litres per ha.
Power sprayer (as a drench) at 1000 to 2000 litres per ha.
For smaller areas use a knapsack sprayer at 100mls of Loram per 12 litres of water.
Suggested Areas of Use:
Industrial sites, motorway and road embankments and on railway areas covered by ballast. Additionally it may be used to treat problem weeds such as Japanese Knotweed and Ragwort on grassed areas where a total weedkiller would kill everything.
The product is designed for use on land not intended for cropping such as: roadsides, grassland (with no agricultural or horticultural value) as well as road and railway embankments.
The material is absorbed via leaves and roots and translocated to the growing points.
It is sensible not to apply the material close to the bases of trees and shrubs that are present on the site to be treated.
Additional Information:
This product is a persistent systemic selective herbicide for control of a wide range of deep-rooted perennial and other weeds on land that is not intended for cropping.
Japanese knotweed is a member of the Polygonum family and a distant relative of Knotgrass. It is a highly invasive and troublesome weed that will grow anywhere, unfortunately damaging underground pipes, drains, foundations, concrete, tarmac and buildings in the process. With no natural predators or enemies it will spread unchecked by means of rhizomes (underground stems).
One centimetre of rhizome is sufficient to generate a new plant that can grow 10cm per day up to a height of 3m. Additionally the rhizomes will spread 7m and reach a depth of 2m. Therefore physical control of this "monster" is very difficult, time consuming and expensive.
Note: "It is an offence to plant or otherwise encourage" the growth of Japanese Knotweed.
