The Blec Sand Injector is 1m wide. Slits are cut by discs at 25cm centres to a maximum depth of 14cm, 20mm wide. An oscillating cam causes vibration of the injection legs, which enables the slits to be
decompactor, blades set a 25cm spacings and cutting 15mm slots at a maximum depth of 20cm. Thus the ground is compacted prior to the injection of drainage material, and ridging does not occur. Suitable for the application of moist sand, leica and 2-6mm grit.
filled to full depth without bridging, whilst shattering the surrounding soil. The Sand Injector will handle moist sand, leica and 2-6mm grit.
(Needs to connect to existing drainage for operation to provide full drainage benefits).
“I have had a good working relationship with ALS for a number of years. The guys that come on site are very conscientious and never have to be supervised. I would not consider using any other contractor.”

This system was specifically designed to prolong the life of compacted, water logged golf greens for 10-years or more without the need for reconstruction. Not only is this a much cheaper alternative, it enables the character of existing greens, often built up over decades, to be preserved. Instead of material being added to the green, soil is taken away and replaced with 6mm aggregate (a silicate aggregate) - slits are then connected to an existing drain, or ALS will construct drainage to a suitable outfall.
    Benefits are:
  • Reduced use of temporary greens through water logging
  • Resulting improvement in greens soil structure
  • Better playing conditions
  • Improved root development
  • Earlier spring growth and reduced disease susceptibility
